Cosmos: War of the Planets (also released in Europe as Year Zero: War In Space) is a 1978 Italian film directed by Alfonso Bresciaand starring John Richardson. It is considered a remake of the 1965 film Planet of the Vampires. It was also released as War of the Planets (not to be confused with the 1965 Antonio Margheriti film of that name), and also as Cosmo 2000, as well as Cosmo: Planet Without a Name.
The 4 films in Alfonso Brescia's 1978 sci-fi series are Star Odyssey (1978), Cosmos: War of the Planets (1978, aka Year Zero War in Space), Battle in Interstellar Space (1978, aka Battle of the Stars) and War of the Robots (1978, aka Reactor).
I'm not sure about this, but then I wasn't sure about any of the other versions of the FF on celluloid either. In fact, I'm not sure how I feel about the concept as a comic. As a kid I loved guest appearances of The Human Torch in Spider-man comics and I adored Marvel Two-in-One featuring The Thing, but the Fantastic Four as a family superhero team felt old fashioned even way back when I was in short trousers! So I'm probably not going to bother to go and see it but I promise to watch it on TV when they stick it on in a couple of years.
In the mean time here are some very nice looking spacesuits (Dimensionsuits?) which do have it going on however I feel about the movie they are featured in.
I'm sure one of you out there will go and give it a look so be sure to come back here and let me know if I'm missing a treat or not.
Every now and then I'll show you something that isn't a spacesuit but usually only because the costume has been a spacesuit in some previous life. On this occasion I think this little fellow is pretending to be a robot, although somehow he comes more like Brick from The Middle than Twiki
Anyway, it's another appearance of one of those ventilation suits that we were looking at last month and a big thank you to Tim for finding me yet another buried treasure.
